Development Innovations Trust (DIT) is a New Delhi-based registered charitable trust promoting good governance, financial inclusion, grassroots development, sustainability, and climate change action — through large-scale events, advocacy, and partnerships with government and PSUs.
DIT holds all statutory registrations and tax exemptions required under Indian law for charitable trusts and CSR co-implementation partnerships.
DIT's mandate spans governance advocacy, grassroots development, sustainability, research infrastructure, and mass education — united by the goal of an equitable, self-reliant India.
Organising seminars, publications, and media campaigns to educate citizens and officials on best governance practices and promote their systemic implementation.
Implementing programmes in education, skill enhancement, health, and rural development for the benefit of marginalised and underserved communities across India.
Spreading access to general education, computer literacy, financial literacy, and cyber security awareness as pathways to empowerment.
Offering expert advisory, evaluation, and programme management services to government agencies, NGOs, and institutions in the development sector.
Creating investigative, analytical, and knowledge dissemination infrastructure that sustains the continuity and impact of governance and development efforts.
Partnering with government bodies, banks, PSUs, and peer organisations to co-implement large-scale development projects across India and beyond.
DIT is guided by a distinguished managing committee and operations team combining policy expertise, cultural leadership, global academic credentials, and on-ground field experience.
The visionary behind DIT's establishment in 2008, Mr. G.V.L. Narasimha Rao has steered the Trust's growth into a nationally recognised development organisation with a multi-sectoral focus — promoting innovation, enhancing financial inclusion, advancing civic education, and championing Atmanirbhar Bharat advocacy across India.
Mrs. Mydhili Rao has been instrumental in preserving and promoting India's cultural and traditional heritage through DIT's large-scale events. She conceptualised the Maha Sankranti Celebrations in 2024 and 2025 and oversees cultural programming for the 2026 event in Visakhapatnam.
Armed with an international degree from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, Mr. Vishal brings expertise in designing and executing mass education campaigns and social mobilisation. He has been central to DIT's flagship Sankranti events.
Andy oversees the practice of behavioural science and human-centred design (HCD) for design, development, dissemination, and evaluation of social and behaviour change (SBC) interventions for DIT's projects across different states of India. The programmes seek to promote social behaviour change among marginalised and poor communities by building awareness about inclusive initiatives, shaping their beliefs and attitudes, and motivating them to adopt desired behaviours by challenging or changing harmful norms.
Mukund Kumar Chandan provides strategic project direction for DIT's larger initiatives, drawing on extensive experience in development project management, programme design, and institutional partnerships.
Girija Srinivas manages DIT's day-to-day programme implementation and stakeholder coordination, serving as the primary contact for CSR partnerships, donor relations, and project delivery across DIT's Delhi and Visakhapatnam offices.
A trained economist, Ms. George is involved in planning and coordination of projects from DIT's headquarters in New Delhi. She brings analytical rigour and programme management expertise to support the design and delivery of DIT's development initiatives across states.
Mr. Prasad leads on-ground coordination for DIT's projects and community programmes, managing field logistics, beneficiary outreach, and operational execution across multiple states.
Since 2008, DIT has evolved into a multi-domain development organisation — from grassroots outreach to mega public events attracting over two lakh visitors each year.
Organised three landmark "Mega Event on Financial Inclusion" editions during Sankranti in Visakhapatnam, generating footfall of over two lakh visitors per edition across three days.
Conducted mass awareness on digital finance, cyber security, and government welfare schemes to empower rural and semi-urban populations.
Curated immersive village-setting festivals showcasing India's folk arts, classical music, dance, and regional traditions — blending public education with cultural celebration.
Provided platforms for Self Help Groups, artisans, FPOs, and tribal entrepreneurs to exhibit and sell products, with competitions and prizes incentivising participation.
Conducted targeted outreach on government schemes for differently abled persons (DIVYANGS) and elderly citizens, reaching over 10,000 people benefitted across campaigns.
Organised mega public outreach programmes relating to patriotism and celebration of India's Constitution, drawing over 1 lakh participants across Andhra Pradesh.
Published booklets, reports, and conducted seminars promoting best practices in public administration and governance for officials and citizens alike.
DIT's flagship initiative — running for two consecutive years — has established itself as one of Andhra Pradesh's most visited public education events. Set against a Sankranti backdrop in a model village, the event brings together government agencies, Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Department of Financial Services (DFS), Government of India, SIDBI, NABARD, banks, MSMEs, artisans, and the general public to celebrate Atmanirbhar Bharat ideals and promote financial inclusion.
DIT maintains full financial transparency with audited accounts and statutory disclosures. Utilisation certificates are signed by statutory auditors for all CSR funds received. Current SBI account balance: ₹14,36,073.
Building on two successful editions, DIT organised the Mega Event on Financial Inclusion and Atmanirbhar Bharat 2026 — a landmark public education and cultural celebration in Visakhapatnam, from January 13 to 15, 2026 with the support of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Department of Financial Services (DFS), Government of India, SIDBI, NABARD, several banks and other financial institutions.
Set in a model village atmosphere at Andhra University's College of Engineering grounds, this three-day event combines Sankranti cultural festivities with showcases of India's manufacturing strength, MSME excellence, digital innovation, SHG enterprises, and financial inclusion milestones — fully aligned with CSR Schedule VII, Companies Act 2013.
